We are starting a tentative list for this year’s conclave. This year conclave will be hosted at Ressica Falls, PA by our Brothers in Unami Lodge. (Ressica is about 45min away).

This year’s conclave will be held on June 8th-10th. Conclaves are full of brotherhood, ceremonies, NAA drumming, trainings, patch auctions, fun actives and much more.

This will be one event you will not want to miss! If you are interested in attending please email Zach McDonough.

Brothers,

If you did not know, two of my favorite events are happening the third weekend of April. Earth Day (which is practically Christmas day for me), and Fellowship weekend, and only one of those events could bring you Fun, Food, and Fellowship. Those three ideals can be achieved at this year’s fellowship weekend! This fantastic 2 day event will take place on April 20th and 21st at Camp Acahela. The Activities Committee is currently planning a theme for this weekend. The food committee is also carving up one spectacular menu. Also, the Elangomat committee will be holding their yearly training. There will be feasts, games, drumming, and most importantly, a morning of cheerful service. We will be working on various projects in order to get Camp Acahela all ready for the summer months. But don’t take my word for it, Jimmy Bianchi, a member of troop 132 and a brotherhood member of our lodge says “It (Fellowship Weekend) is literally the best event of the whole year. It is the best thing since sliced bread!”

Furthermore, did you know that this event is also one of three times for Ordeal members to seal their bonds in Brotherhood. Do not be a “sash and dasher”, come out to see what Lowwapaneu Lodge is all about! Only ONE thing could make this event even better, YOU! So the question stands, will YOU be at fellowship weekend? Will YOU seal your bonds in Brotherhood? And finally, will YOU experience one of the best weekends?

This event was all about getting Cub Scouts into the outdoors and exposed to fun and educational activities for a day. Winter Fun Day was held at Kirby Park on January 13. This was also a chance for the members of the Order of the Arrow who are planning to attend NOAC to do a little fundraising to help pay for some of the expenses. This fundraiser was a great success, despite cold weather, because the Cub Scouts who attended and all the volunteers who helped had a blast. The OA contingent at this event provided assistance with cooking and serving the food. Finally, I would like to say thank you to all the OA members who came out and helped.

NAA stands for Native American Activities. One of the biggest part of the NAA is our drum team. They compete at Conclave and NOAC and go to blue and gold dinners as well as the Indian village at Harvest Fest and Merit Badge College. The NAA is also very active at Goose Pond Scout Reservation throughout every summer. To learn how to become more involved in the NAA committee, or to just learn more about it please contact Chris Higgins through the email provided at the lodge website.
