Brothers,
Let me thank you from the bottom of my heart for an amazing year in Lowwapaneu Lodge. We “paved the way to 50” and it was because of all the cheerful service you’ve provided this year.
Together, we welcomed 80 new Ordeal members, helped 60 brothers seal their bond in brotherhood, and called upon 10 brothers to keep their Vigil.

Brothers, this past August the Lodge had its Fall Ordeal. New candidates in the Order spent the day performing cheerful service, and attending ceremonies. Those arrow men who came spent the day performing service to the camp and having a great time. Events included games, drumming, apple pie, and much more.

As most of you know, Hurricane Maria recently devastated Puerto Rico. As a result of the devastation, Scouting in Puerto Rico is essentially “out of business” because of major damage to the Council’s Office and Camp. As of right now, it is looking as if there will be no camp season for Puerto Rico in 2018.
Section NE-5 is currently working on plans to help our brothers of Yokahu Lodge and the Concilio de Puerto Rico. Please keep our brothers in your thoughts and we will keep you informed on Section NE-5’s plan as more information becomes available.

This past summer, the Boy Scouts of America held the 2017 National Jamboree at the Summit Bechtel Reserve in West Virginia. Multiple Scouts from Lowwapaneu lodge had the opportunity to attend this once in a lifetime event. Over 30,000 scouts from across not just the USA but the world attended. This event would not have run so smoothly if it were not for the Order of the Arrow.
